The village of Estézargues

Located 10 minutes away by feet from the hotel, the small hilltop village of Estézargues, with a population of less than 500 inhabitants, dominated by its fortress-like church, has a proven prehistoric origin.

His name comes from a Roman villa belonging to Consul Statius.

The stroll through the narrow streets of this picturesque village smells of the south: it will take you to the laundry located at the foot of the church and offer you beautiful landscapes on the vineyards.

Its mainly viticultural terroir develops on Signargues which it shares with the communes of Domazan, Saze and Rochefort du Gard. You will come across the cooperative winery which brings together ten producers who produce wines with Syrah, Cinsault and Grenache grapes. The Estézargues wine is exported to the United States.

At 500 m from the hotel, Pierredon oil mill offers olive oil from a family farm passed down from generation to generation (www.moulin-pierredon.com).
